The jointly developed <a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.5281\/zenodo.7075761\">&#8222;Quality Standards for Open Access Monographs and Edited Volumes&#8220;<\/a> set standards for OA monographs that go beyond the description of the status quo. The quality criteria are aimed both at the members of the AG Universit\u00e4tsverlage and at commercial book publishers whose OA publications are supported by public funds (OA monograph fund). They are hereby put up for public discussion.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><!-- end of .col-300 --><\/p>\n<div id=\"home_widget_3\" class=\"grid col-300 fit\">\n<div id=\"text-6\" class=\"widget-wrapper widget_text\">\n<div id=\"widget-title-three\" class=\"widget-title-home\">\n<p><!-- ######################### Kolumne : Rechts ######################## --><\/p>\n<h3>SEVEN POSITIONS<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"textwidget\">In March 2018, the Association of European University Presses (AEUP) published <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aeup.eu\/aeup\/resources\/seven-statements-on-european-university-presses\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">positions on the importance of European university presses<\/a>. These positions underline the important role of university presses and position them as important actors and partners in policy and research.
